Current State of the 2022 World Cup Betting Markets

Very quiet is the best way to describe the futures betting markets on the 2022 World Cup, and it is the qualifying matches and group betting opportunities that punters are beginning to turn their attention too.

But do keep in mind if you are prepared to lay down your money very early on the teams that you do fancy to win the World Cup final in 2022, then by hunting around for the best odds there is plenty of value to be had at this very early stage of the betting.

Two teams that most bookies have chalked up at the early favourites to win are France and Brazil, but are you prepared to bet early on either of those two teams to be able secure odds of around the 6/1 mark? If so, then get a move on, but do try and find a bookie offering slightly higher odds than those.

Spain and Germany are of course two other teams that may just go on to win the World Cup in 2022, and I am aware that some punters have been backing them as they have taken a shine to those joint second agouties odds which are around 7/1.

Argentina in With a Chance

Teams such as Argentina are always going to be on offer at low odds to win an upcoming World Cup, and their current odds are 10/1 at several betting sites, which does give you some idea as to what chances they do have of winning of course.

Belgium are the next team many bookies have listed on their betting markets and as for just how generous the odds are on them winning, you will find odds of 11/1 are being offered by most bookies, but if you fancy England to win then the current 12/1 odds on offer at bookies such as BetFred are there for the taking.

Italy and Other Fancied Teams

The odds are of course going to be high on the early betting markets for several teams that do have a good chance of winning, but that is always the case when you are making use of futures betting markets.

Some other teams that I am sure some of you out there will be interested in backing include the likes of Italy who are a solid bet and one that may be worth placing an each-way bet on being as they are readily available at odds of 14/1.

Other teams that are taking part in the World Cup 2022, include the likes of the Netherlands who are currently 20/1 to win it, along with Portugal at 25/1, Croatia a 33/1 shot, and surprisingly Uruguay and Colombia are both 40/1.

Chile are 50/1 and if you fancy backing any of the other teams you are likely to find better odds that any bookmaker will give you on offer at a betting exchange so make sure you check out our top rated one that being Betfair!
